Hi BD,

It's great to see so many skills clinics and beginner events happening! I
just wanted to mention that I've recently re-found a video put together by
Steve Balls filming the layout clinic that Anja Haman first did to teach
Iceni how to lay out back in early 2006. A number of people have asked me
over the years for the link (so, um, sorry if this is several years late!)

It describes a useful technique for teaching people to layout and is always
a very popular drill when we've run it at skills days in the past. Find it
here:

<http://www.iceniultimate.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=159&;
Itemid=4> &task=view&id=159&Itemid=4 (second link)

Two important things:

Progress at your own pace. If your technique in, let's say, Step 2 isn't
perfect then don't go to Step 3 - just keep working on Step 2. Don't expect
to progress through all the steps in one practice if you are new to laying
out!

Also, it doesn't say so but we had dish soap and water on the sheet of
plastic to make it nice and slippery.

Enjoy at your own risk!

Aura
