Evening guys.
First of all, thanks to everyone that showed up to the introductory hat
tournament on the 24th, there was good numbers despite several lastminute
changes of plan, and the whole day went well!
THE FIRST TRAINING
Following the intial success of the Introductory Hat Tournament Manchester
Ultimate will be holding its first training session on Saturday 14th November.
Training will take place in Fog Lane Park at 10:30am until 2:00pm.
We encourage everyone who is interested in playing for Manchester Ultimate to
attend in order to settle the team as early as possible.
The first session will focus on faily basic areas such as throwing and cutting.
This is in order to assess the level that everyone is at as well as providing
the opertunity to give adivice to players who are relatively inexperienced or
have been out of the game.
This does not mean that the training will be low intensity, this is after all a
competitive team. Therefore everyone should be aware that the training session
will not be easy. We hope to have some coaches from the European Champions
Chevron at the sessions, so the it will be a well run session.
This training is only on the Saturday and is NOT a full training weekend.
Please bring a light and dark top, football boots and something to eat and
drink as they will not be a break for lunch.
THE TRAINING WEEKEND;
The first training weekend will be the 5th and 6t of December (Both saturday
and sunday) and wil run 11-3 both days, with a social on the saturday night. We
would encourage everyone to make this the priority session out of the two
before christmas. Even if you can only attend for one day, please attend
(although if you can only do one day, please let me know). If you require
accomodation for the saturday night, it will be easily available via one ofour
floors, or a sofa if lucky!
THE TRIALS;
There will be 2 days of trials in the new year, which have been preliminarily
set for saturday 16th January, and Sunday the 21st February (so people can make
at least one!)
All of these events will have facebook events made, and all the details will be
made available on the facebook group (search for Manchester Ultimate).
