LLLeeds women are looking to select a team with the ambition and commitment
to build on the progress of the team over recent years. The team has
qualified for the World Ultimate Club Championships in Prague (WUCC) in July
2010 which will be the first time the team has attended this tournament and
which makes 2010 the biggest year yet in the teams history.

The teams aims over the next season include winning Tour aiming for top spot
in Europe and to make quarter finals at WUCC. In preparation for this, the
team will be seeking out high level tournaments pre WUCC. This could include
a trip to North America and/or organising elite competition in Europe.

Open trials will be held on the following weekends in Leeds in January 2010:

   - Saturday 16th January 12-4 and Sunday 17th 9-1
   - Saturday 30th January 12-4 and Sunday  31st 9-1

Where possible, people hoping to try out will attend both weekends (although
if this is not possible please let us know).

Selection will be based on a number of criteria with a strong emphasis on
commitment to training sessions and tournaments and commitment to achieving
a high level of fitness. Regular team training will start in February and
take the form of two weekend sessions a month (Sat pm/Sun am).

Selection criteria will include:

   - Commitment to attendance at weekend training sessions (in Leeds);
   - Commitment to tournaments (including Tour & Nationals, at least one
   foreign warm up tournament (potentially in North America) and WUCC);
   - Commitment to working on fitness away from training sessions and
   following a team training plan;
   - Positive attitude and team oriented approach to achieving the clubs
   aims; and
   - Good level of basic ultimate skills and a willingness to learn and
   improve.

If you would like to attend trials please let us know by replying to this
e-mail (reply to [email protected]) with your contact details. It would
also be useful to provide some brief details of your playing experience
(i.e. how long have you been playing/for what club(s) and what position you
prefer (cutter/handler)). If you have any questions regarding trials or
require any further information please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Thanks

Sally & Tash (on behalf of LLL)
