We're getting more and more of this sort of thing - not to mention schools
that start playing and want to know about where to point their students in
terms of external clubs in their community.

Also - we've recently finished off a big exercise on Safeguarding (Child
Protection) and I'll be putting that information on the website next week.
We hope this will make it easier for more clubs that want to expand into
having junior players.

With both of these in the background we are expecting to set up a more
formal "club affiliation" mechanism in the next 6-12 months. Its necessary
from a Safeguarding point of view, but it should also improve our ability to
help new players find clubs in their area that are set up and ready to help
new players (with info about what ages of players they can take on). The
current info on our website is patchy, and its not as easy-to-use as it
could be.
