Hi Britdisc At the Copa, Copa Cabana on 28-30 August 2010 we are aiming to create a world record, to raise money for EACH (East Anglia Children's Hospices). The record is something I have been thinking about and wanting to see for quite some time... We will be attempting to create the world's largest ever ultimate team. "Ewan Hoo's Army" (get it?) will be playing throughout the weekend in the tournament proper, with both permanent and come-and-go members from other teams. Guinness World Records have been contacted, and we hope to get a huge number of team members to create this new record. Money will be raised by team members signing up and paying a membership fee of their choice at: http://www.justgiving.com/ewanhoosarmy (still being developed, but it works) Team members can then play for their own team, but also for Ewan Hoo at any time, in any game. Anyone who has made a donation, however big or small, will receive a player pass and numbered kit (unless we run out by having a ridiculous number of players... which I kind of hope will happen). We are hoping to set the record in one game, where we will need all the members to come and play (or be actively involved in some way). Other players at the tournament may make donations during the weekend - find us, wander over, bring your pennies and pounds and play a single point, or a single game. Bring a white t-shirt and we will spray you up with your squad number. All donations made on this site (and the team fee, and permanent team members' player fees, kindly donated by Steve Giugere) will go to EACH, a foundation that has helped my family in the past and still remains very close to us. EACH need to raise £4m every year (£11,000 per day) to maintain and offer their services. I am hoping to repay them as much as I can for the help and support they provided.
