Yesterday, Golden Ants held its first individual tournament in fields events in 
London:

 'Golden Hands Challenge, London 2010'

On Sunday, we had cloudy weather of nearly 12 C with moderate wind up to 16 mph.

There were participants from five different  teams: 
Flaming Galahs, GB Masters, Golden Ants, Kent Ultimate & Thundering Herds.

We proudly announce the Golden Hands Champions for 2010:


Magda Glandc (Golden Ants) in women category with 60 points
Al Harding        (Flaming Galahs) in men category with 48 points

Congratulations!

Both of them were overall winners of 3 disciplines: 
Accuracy, Distance & SCF (self caught flight).

We used Discraft 175g discs in all events.

Current London's records are:

Accuracy:  (it was REALLY windy)
F: Magda Glanc   (Golden Ants)  ->   6x , time: 4:18
M: Viliam Holicka (Golden Ants) -> 10x, time: 4:05

Distance:
F: Magda Glanc (Golden Ants)      -> 45m
M: Al Harding  (Flaming Galahs)   ->  75m

SCF:
F: Magda Glanc (Golden Ants)    -> 41.715 points; TRC - 19m & MTA - 4.13''
M: Al Harding  (Flaming Galahs) -> 70.585 points; TRC - 35m & MTA - 6.47''

After the competition, we went to a local pub and announced winners, who were 
rewarded some golden prizes :)

As the outdoor season is nearly over, Golden Ants Ultimate club would like to 
invite you to:

Golden Hands Challenge, London 2010

Sunday 26-9-2010, Clapham Common Park SW4 near the Eagle Pond at 13:00


On Sunday, we will compete in 3 disciplines:
Accuracy
Distance
SCF= (TRC + MTA) 
SCF - self caught flight, TRC - throw, run & catch, MTA - maximum time aloft

You can compete in all 3 disciplines or just choose the one suits you most :)

Cost: £2.- pppd(per person per discipline) or  £5.- for all three disciplines


We are organising an individual competition for women, men & youngsters living, 
working, studying in London and surrounding area (like 
Reading, Guildford,Kent,...Oxford)


As we are ultimate players, we will use Discraft 175g discs in every discipline 
on Sunday,
please bring your own discs with you. 

Anyway, if you want to try how far you can throw with other discs (you need to 
bring it)- we might do it after the competition.

We would like to start this as annual Golden Hands Challenge; always held in 
London by the end of Ultimate outdoor season.

Winner of each discipline and overall winners, will receive a small prize.
