Hey All -

We had a good turnout for teams at the inaugural women's winter league last
year, and the scope of the women's game in London is looking perfect for us to
mix things up a bit. This year, to help increase numbers and give people more
experience, winter league will be run more like a hat tournament. We're
encouraging women of all levels (from beginner through to GB) to turn up to
play any number of events they want; we'll be splitting teams up evenly before
the first event and each hat team will be the same throughout all of the winter
league events. Even if you can only make one of the events, it'll still be
great to come out! This is going to be an awesome opportunity for women to
learn the game, get some great coaching, meet new people, learn new drills, and
gain more experience.

There are a lot of initiatives going out for women in London ultimate this
year, but none of them will work without lots of participation. So get
involved, we'd love to see you out for even one winter league event!

Women's winter league dates:

    Sunday 28 November
    Sunday 19 December
    Sunday 16 January
    Sunday 13 February

All of the above to be held at Richardson Evans Memorial Playing Fields (near
Wimbledon). Schedules haven't been finalised or anything, but each event is
likely to be a round-robin of three or four games.

The cost for all four events has been solidly capped at £35 (and you'll be able
to pay for individual events); however, we're still finalizing pricing. The
object is to keep the cost down and run a good tournament.

Please go to the LWWL page on the UKUA website:

And fill out the attached form and e-mail it back to Kaleigh Maietta (kaleigh
[dot] maietta [at] gmail [dot] com) no later than Wednesday 10 November. Anyone
who wants to play but gets their form in later than that may be charged more
per event.

Can't wait to see everyone out there!
