As you probably know the world beach championships are taking place Aug 21st-28th in Italy. The awesome playing site just north of Venice http://www.wcbu2011 looks likely to provide an amazing tournament. Ladies, dust off your sand legs and take them for a spin. This is your chance to make history as part of the first national squad now that beach ultimate is officially a distinct discipline under the wfdf umbrella.
On Saturday March 19th there will be a combined tryout and clinic for those interested in trying out for GB womens beach squad and those looking to improved their beach skills. (There maybe a 2nd tryout in April dependent on demand). We're looking to form a unified, athletic, positive and competitive team. The clinic atmosphere will be spirited and encouraging focusing on learning and stretching all attendees to get a good look at current skills and potential. Please send the following information if you're interested in trying out: 1. Name 2. DoB 3. Team priority ( Womens or Mixed, mixed masters) 4. Brief playing history and beach experience. Please include a contact for reference. (e.g.current captain) 5. Nationality (if not a UK passport holder - see WFDF eligibility rules for details and explain how you qualify) 6.
