Hello BD, former and future Beach Lovers!! The Copa del Soul event which was successfully held for the 1st time last year is ON! (see caveats at the end of this email :) ) There were quite a few wranglings to be done with venues, insurances and facilities but it's looking really good.
The website is updated at (www.copadelsoul.com) and the registration is not open on Ffindr (http://ffindr.com/en/event/copa-del-soul-2011). Registration will be open until the end of the month. The details if you aren't familiar with this Copa event are... 7 pitches on a private beach Private party with top Ultimate DJs in Joe's Beach Bar from 11pm until 3am. Camping area wine bar and chill out zone from 7pm until 10pm. Free camping on the beach! 32 teams The irreplaceable Copa atmosphere and the mayhem it brings! Saturday night Party theme....The Swinging 60s (Yeah Baby!) Location: Ingoldmells Point. As you may or may not have heard, there will not be a Copa Cabana this year unfortunately. To many things have conflicted with the dates and we couldn't find another time for it. What this does mean is that this is the only Copa this summer!!! Ahhhhhhh I can feel the withdrawal symptoms already! Registration is open from RIGHT NOW until March 31st! Payment will be collected in the two weeks of April after which there's nothing to do but wait for the updates, and dust off your sand legs. The Caveat: We need 32 teams to make this happen for budget reasons so please don't dilly dally.
