BD,

We have 2 possible formats mocked-up for MT2. Our preferred schedule (let's call it schedule A) works well with the expected 44 teams, but will be very poor for 43 teams since someone might only get 4 games (if they play the drop-out team twice). There's no easy way to adjust it to avoid the chance of that - not enough pitches.

Schedule B can cope better with a drop-out, but is generally not so nice - some teams in pools of 5 playing lots of short games plus a crossover on saturday, some games unavoidably rested v unrested, etc.

We'd like to use schedule A. So - if you have any doubts at all about whether you can raise a team or will have to pull out, get in touch.

I'll write the actual schedule on wednesday probably. If I haven't heard from you by then, and you later pull out, I take no responsibility for the fact that some teams' tourney may be ruined. Schedules can take 8-10 hours to get right, and I'm not writing two of them every time. I'm just lazy like that.

;-)
