All,

The top 16 open teams, and all the women's teams, will be at the Wimbledon venue for tour 1. The remaining 40 teams will be at Chiswick.

We have a top 16 in mind. There are technically 2 foreign teams, though one of these is the Irish and Dublin had a top-16 tour ranking last year anyway - so they won't bump anybody. The Germans will cause one team who might have believed they were A tour to drop down.

We could put 20 teams into A-tour to avoid anyone missing out, but we discovered last year that there is no satisfactory solution to promotion/relegation at later tours, and it would be a mistake to give ourselves the same problems again.

No new teams are sufficiently strong to warrant an A-tour place. So last year's top 15 are pencilled in. If someone around that bracket wishes to put a case for why they should (or indeed should not) be in the A tour, please get in touch in the next 24 hours. We'd like to confirm which teams will be where ASAP so that they can finalise travel and such like, so this is your last chance.

Cheers,
Benji
