Apologies for another email from me but 3 important announcements for UKU Midlands Regionals
1. The Date of the tournament has changed to *Saturday 23rd July *(not on Sun 24th now). This is due to organisational conflicts with the UKU London Regionals. Apologies for this but it needs to happen for the tournament to go ahead. On the plus side ... this is now in line with the original UKU planned date. 2. I've had some teams contact me, confused as to which region they are in. There is a map + list of counties + list of known teams in the region on the tournament web page here: http://www.stalbansultimate.co.uk/regionals2011/regional-map-teams. Any teams from the region are welcome to compete and the list is not exhaustive by any means! The teams that competed last year are still in the same region: EMO Strange Blue Red Team JR BAF Lemmings Flyght Club 3. I can confirm that we will have: - Up to 8 Ultimate Fields - Changing Rooms & Hot Showers (with the caveat that cold showers are much better) - Canopies (to shelter from the sun of course, we don't do rain @ ultimate events in St Albans) - Prizes sponsored by Scimitar <http://www.scimitarsports.com/> (don't forget to say thank you!) - Spirit of the Game Award sponsored by Gaia<http://www.jump-and-reach.com/> (sneak peak here<http://www.stalbansultimate.co.uk/regionals2011/gaia-spirit-award> ) - Photographer(s) taking photos all day (team photos and those awesome ones of you laying out!) Still to confirm: - Stand selling Ultimate gear, discs, footbags & other cool stuff! - Hot food + snacks, drinks & ice cream (reasonably priced I'm assured, menu details to follow) - Physiotherapist on site offering advice & massage But it's all looking good!
