Hi all,

Last Sunday Ants organised 2nd individual disc competition Golden Hands 
Challenge in London sponsor by Lookfly.

It was fun event, but everyone did their best to win it :) 

We saw 5 (out of 6) new records and the standard has improved compare to last 
year's results. 
 

We proudly announce the Golden Hands Champions for 2011:

Angie Gomez  (Golden Ants) in women category with 54 points
Juan Torres  (Golden Ants) in men category with 54 points

Congratulations!

Both of them were overall winners of 3 disciplines: 
Accuracy, Distance & SCF (self caught flight).

We used Discraft 175g discs in all events.


Every winner of each category (female & male) got prizes, which were donated by 
Lookfly [http://www.lookfly.com/uk/]: 
a Discraft disc: This is NOT a Toy; Lookfly wristband, an ultimate DVD + 
stickers.

M: Juan Torres  (Golden Ants) -> 14x, time: 4:33  *new record!*

Distance:
F: BekaIvanova (Golden Ants) -> 57m  *new record!*
M: ViliHolicka (Golden Ants) -> 76.5m  *new record!*

SCF:
F:  HidemiTominaga (Golden Ants) -> 37.745 points; TRC - 18m & MTA - 3.59''
M: Wayne Retter  (Flaming Galahs) -> 105.925 points; TRC - 49m & MTA - 10.35''

We saw excellent layout catch by Hidemi to win SCF and unbelievable throw by 
Wayne. We should measure the heigh too! :)

As the 2011 outdoor season is nearly over, Golden Ants Ultimate club would like
to invite you to an annual individual disc competition:

Sunday 09-10-11, Clapham Common Park SW4 near the Eagle Pond at 13:00

On Sunday, we will compete in 3 disciplines:

You can compete in all 3 disciplines or just choose one which suits you most :)

Winner of each discipline and overall winners, will receive small prizes. 

Cost: £2 for all disciplines, pay on the day,

I believe all these records can be improved on 09-10-11.

Anyway,  this event is not all about records 
- it is all about having a good time and 'challenge yourself' & your friends ;)

Most importantly is to respect the Spirit of the Game during the whole 
competition.
