Dear BD, Plymouth had 16 teams compete for the four qualifying places for UKU Open Indoor Nationals. With the two teams topping the table proving early on they deserved to be top of each pool the fight for the other two places went on. At one point it looked like ties in the pools would upset a lot of people but Airbadgers 2 put Pool A back into shape to give themselves a cross-over. The other tie was broken with the UKU Tie Breaker Process on points.
The final was a closely contested game with Pro coming out on top by the slightest of margins in the very last second of play. As the dust settled the score was Pro 9-8 Fink Cwick and the watching crowed was justified in staying to see the display of Ultimate expertise. I'd like to thank all the teams for going through the process of filling in the sheets and handing them in regularly (although there are some outstanding scores still). I ran out of time to use all of the scores to calculate with and so the SOTG was awarded based on the pool stage SOTG. The system prompted me to have a chat with a couple of teams and every time it proved to be a blip in one game or improvement was shown in the scores afterwards.
