Hi, Fire of London <http://www.fireoflondon.org> is looking at an exciting next season. We are aiming to win Nationals and compete at Europeans. We're looking for athletic, committed players, who want to join us in what could be Fire's most successful season to date. We have two teams in the top 8 of UK ultimate, and welcome applicants for both teams.
We combine high level ultimate with a healthy club atmosphere. Currently we're hosting some open training sessions in West Ham so people can meet the team, play some intense mid-week ultimate and improve on their skills. They're Tuesdays at 8pm here <http://g.co/maps/wgw2f>. We're also entering the winter leagues, and again these are open to everyone who wants to get a feel for what Fire is like, and is considering trying out for Fire in 2012. Email Tom ([email protected]) if you want to play for fire at WL2 (11 Dec) or WL3 (8 Jan). If you've got this far, you're also probably interested in trials. The last couple of years we've had open trials, but for a number of reasons we are going to hold *invite only trials* this coming year. How do you get an invite? There are 2 options. 1. You reply to this email with a brief ultimate bio, and why you want to play for Fire and impress us enough for you to get an invite ;-) 2. We'd rather you come along to some of the open sessions we're hosting (Tuesday nights and/or winter leagues) and express interest in trying out for Fire We'll let you know who we want to invite to trials after winter league 4, on February 5th. We're going to close Tuesday night practices from here on to the invite list only. The trial dates will be a number of weekends in late Feb/March, we will release these dates nearer the time. Fire of London are aiming to create an intense trial process that benefits you as a player as well as helps us choose the best possible squad for 2012. Play hard, have fun.
