Those who've clicked on the link below will have noted that the venues
for Tours are up, but that we haven't yet awarded OWT3. Bids are of
course requested.
Inevitably, our preference is for a venue that can host the whole thing,
but realistically we're looking at 20 pitches minimum, and 24 would be
nice. Not many such venues are likely to be forthcoming I suspect. We're
fortunate in that OWT1&2 are both at huge venues and will be co-located,
so if we do have to split OWT3 then so be it. Preference would then go
to split venues in the same city, and finally we would also consider
entirely separate bids for parts of the event. If you have a venue
nearby, go and have a word with them.
We also require bids for regionals for everywhere except London - last
year, we left this very late and that definitely had an effect on
attendance in some regions. We'd like to award these tournaments now, so
get bidding. The regions will be the same as last year - i.e. London,
SE, SW&Wal, Midlands, North, Scotland.
