Afternoon all,
Apologies for the late notice, but we need a little info on some of the
new teams for Mixed Tour.
The format is now certain to be top 16/mid 16/bottom 16, with crossovers
between each section. I need to make sure that people are in vaguely the
right bracket, since it's not possible to move an infinite distance up
or down the seedings. (Incidentally, if anyone thinks the format should
be more open than that, then fair enough - as long as you're happy to
play 7 games a day or so...)
So - if you're a new team, or someone I may struggle to get info about,
or someone with ginormous roster changes, let me know by tomorrow night.
N.B. I'm not interested in teams who are expecting to be seeded 20th,
but think they can maybe get up to 14th - you can fight your way to 14th
on the pitch. If you want a bumped-up seeding in the top 16, you'd
better be seriously expecting to challenge the top 8; otherwise you can
just earn that spot like everybody else.
But it wouldn't be fair on someone's opponents if we put a genuinely
strong team 37th, so please get in touch if you think you might end up
in the wrong place.
