Hats off to Si Hill, the UKU team and all the people who have helped
take Ultimate forward. It just keeps getting better!
At this point I would normally interject some anecdote about just how
small the scene was, and how far the game has come since I started
playing. Actually the standard must have been very high in the late 70's
because EVERYBODY played for a top 8 team;-)

On Thursday before Mixed Tour 1, *UK Ultimate* was busy showcasing
Ultimate in Trafalgar Square at the launch event for the Matalan
Sporting Promise.
We coached pupils from a local schools, while VIPs watched on as the
kids had a chance to play Ultimate with/against Sir Steve Redgrave.

The event was covered by lots of different media including; the Daily
Mirror, ITV and Sky Sports News along with an array of different blogs,
websites and tweeters.
