More details here: http://www.ukultimate.com/story/asda_active_events_summer_2012 Brief introduction: To celebrate the Queen's Jubilee and the London Olympic Games, Asda, working with Fields in Trust and the Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge, has committed to securing 2012 outdoor recreational spaces for community use. During 2012 a variety of different events and activities will be made available on these fields. One of the larger projects is the Asda Active days where Asda will help create and fund a number of sporting events across the summer, with the aim of encouraging mothers with young kids to come down and try some sports/activities laid on by NGB affiliates, local leisure facility providers, FIA members and/or charity providers. We are joining community events across the UK to showcase these sports.
