To anyone based remotely near Manchester,

The respective pockets of players around manchester and the north west are in
the process of improving the infrastructure of Ultimate in the area, and one of
the first steps is creating a channel of communication to everyone remotely
involved or interested in frisbee in Manchester.
There is a website set up at the moment with the current situation outlined and
some information about what is currently going on- www.manchesterultimate.com.

We have set up an e-group for anyone who wants to say, listen to or know about
anything frisbee related in Manchester- [email protected]. We
hope to tie this in to messages on the website, and to eventually create some
form of well organised and administered, tiered system of ultimate to cater for
all types of players in the area, but the first step is definitely a bit of
communication and spreading the word.

If you are in or around Manchester, please sign up to the group, or email Dale
Walker ([email protected]) as he is doing a lot of the admin legwork.

We currently know of several groups, for example Duffa, Man Up, Three Unis
(Manchester Uni, Manchester Met, Salford), Chevron players and alumni, Leeds
players, and another group who play in Birchfield Park non-competitively...
this is to try and include everyone and get all groups on the same page, as a
part of an overall collective community, ala a mini London-Ultimate.

Looking forward to seeing how this progresses over the next few years, get
signed up and have an input.

Cheers,

Jacko et al.
