I want to guague interest in a one-day tournament, playing the
'Continuous Point' rule (describe below) for a bit of a laugh.

It'll be at the NIA in Birmingham (same venu as the Great Barr Crawl
every year) on 2 pitches. With 12 teams I can guarantee 8 games in
the day, with over 2 full hours of pitch time - which will be more
than enough when you're playing under these rules! If there's huge
demand then I can open it up to 16 teams and still get 6 games and
just under 2 hours play.

We'll be playing 'Continuous Point' rules; which is something I played
in Australia a couple of years ago. The basic premise is that as soon
as you score, you are then immediately going down the other end, no
pulls. There's a single pull to start the game. Once a point is
scored, the scorer puts the disc on the floor in the end zone then
someone else from their team picks it up and play immediately
continues from there. What tends to happen is that points are scored
in rapid gluts of 3 or 4, then there's a turn over and the other team
(provided their good enough) goes on a run of their own. Subs can
come on to the pitch at any time during the play, but they must cross
at the half-way line and slap hands with whomever is coming off.

It's fast, furious and knackering! Trust me, it works.

I only want to guage interest at this point, so let me know if you
want to come. If there's not enough demand then I'll knock it on the
head. The cost will likely be around £80 or £90.

Please mail me back asap. If I get enough interest I'll book the hall
formally and get money from you all.

Cheers

Si & Ches
