In partnership with PRO-ACTIVE Central London and Sport Makers (http://www.sportmakers.co.uk), UK Ultimate are pleased to say we are able to offer 5 places completely free of charge on our upcoming Level 1 Coaching Course starting on 16th December at Sobell Leisure Centre, Islington, London.
Whats the catch? Well there isnt one, or one that is hard to do. We do have the constraint that you have live and carry out your volunteering in any of the following London Boroughs: Camden; Lambeth; Kensington & Chelsea; Southwark; Wandsworth and Westminster. We are offering these places on a first come first serve basis only if you register as a Sport Maker (via www.sportmakers.co.uk) and volunteer for a minimum of 10 hours. You can carry out your volunteering in your current club or if you would like we can support you to find a suitable placement. This could be in a local community school to encourage new participants and spread the good work that Ultimate is already doing. If you would like to register your interest you must do so by emailing Aaron Mosley at [email protected] and make sure you include your full name, age, contact details and whether or not you have or want a volunteering placement. Once your place has been confirmed you will need to send a cheque made payable to UK Ultimate for £85. This will not be cashed unless you fail to turn up to the course or you fail to complete 10 hours of volunteering which needs to be logged on the sport makers website. Upon successful completion of the course and the volunteering hours your cheque will be returned to you. £85 is the cost of the course. We are looking to fill these places by 7th December 2012. To apply for this offer you must have prior experience and knowledge of the game of Ultimate. You do not have to be an expert but it helps with your progression to have a basic understanding of the gameplay, rules and tactics. If you are unsure please email [email protected] to ask.
