Dear BD, We're excited to announce this year's trials for Punt. Here's what you need to know:
*About trials:* Open trials, *SUNDAY FEB 24th, Cambridge*, *11am-3pm* We're planning a high-intensity trial with emphasis on ultimate fundamentals and game playing. Instead of a traditional top-down session run purely to judge triallists' abilities, our trial will be a 2-way learning opportunity that gives players a chance not only to pick up some ultimate tips but also to experience the ethos of the leadership (i.e. how we run practice, how we see frisbee) and to figure out whether we're a good fit for you this season. If you are on the fence about playing this season, about playing with us, or if you're merely looking for a good skills workout, we encourage you to come along and check out the team. *About the team:* Punt played in its first season this year, finishing 6th in tour and at Nationals. We started out last year with several aims outlined below. We think we're on the right path to achieving those goals and would welcome new team mates who share our objectives. Our vision is to build a team based on realizing the individual and collective potential of all the players involved, working together to play to the very best of our ability. Thus we are looking for women of all levels who want to make the same commitment to improve themselves, and their teammates, and playing competitive ultimate. If this sounds like you-- whether you're a rising star, seasoned veteran, or anything in between-- come out and play! We practice one weekend a month in either Cambridge or Oxford as well as holding weekly local practices so we are looking for women based nearby in the Midlands (or for anyone who doesn't mind commuting to practice...).
