Good morning BritDisc, Back in February, I volunteered to take over the management of the UKU website with a plan to improve it; extend the functionality, iron out any bugs, and make it a more interactive, widely used tool for the UK Ultimate community to enjoy. 6 months later, and it's safe to say, that by myself, this is not being done as fast as I would like!
Therefore, I'm looking to recruit some volunteers to help out. The site is built on Drupal 6, written in php, so any experience in these is a bonus, and would be a good project for anyone currently doing, or who has recently completed, any kind of computer science degree. It's also a great thing to have to the cv; employers love it. 2 x PHP Developers Will be creating, debugging, and customising Drupal modules in php. There is a certain amount of debugging needing to be done on the current site, but the main task would be to introduce new functionality to the site. 1 x Site admin/operations I'm the first (only) point of call for emergencies on the site (usually requiring VPN restarts, db repairs etc), but I need some cover for times when I'm not available. It would also be handy to have someone around with a bit of knowledge to help with improving the current release processes, collaborative working between the developers, and generally help with testing and anything else that crops up from time to time.
