Hello everyone, Stirling Blaze are holding our annual outdoor fresher’s tournament, Tune Up 2013, on the 5th and 6th of October and would like to invite any interested teams to participate.
The tournament is a great chance for all freshers to play some competitive ultimate on a friendly basis and gives them their first taste of outdoor ultimate. We are aiming to hold a 16 team tournament on 3 great grass pitches at the university. This is always a brilliant, fun tournament and we are happy to welcome any Ultimate Frisbee Team. There will also a themed party organised on the Saturday night which is always a good laugh! Special Rules: Due to this being a beginner’s tournament all teams must have a minimum of 2 beginners on the line at all times. Cost: The tournament fee will be £120 per team as it has been in previous years. We may be short on hosting this year therefore to ensure we can accommodate as many teams as possible we would be able to offer a reduced fee for teams who don’t require hosting. If this is something you feel may apply to you please get in contact and we can discuss some options. Hosting: As mentioned above we are trying to host as many teams as we can, so please get in touch with us as soon as possible so that we know how many teams would like to stay. However, due to lack of space, we cannot guarantee hosting every team. If you are interested please let us know you’re coming, how many teams you would like to reserve and whether or not you need hosting at [email protected] by the 13th of September. Cheques will be due by the 20th of September. We will provide you with an information pack as soon as we know how many teams are coming. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at any time. We are looking forward to hearing back from you all. Fiona Martin Secretary Stirling University Ultimate Frisbee Club.
