Calling all Ultimate players aged 18-25! Introducing Jen... Jen is a new, athletic-focused Ultimate team in the UK. It is important to first note that Jen is not a Tour team. The team has been set up by the recent Great Britain u23 Open leadership and management team. Jen hopes to select an elite athletic training squad that will compete against the best teams in the world. The selection process will be highly competitive and will not be based on reputation. It will be entirely focused upon athletic potential, technical skill, attitude and competitiveness. Jen prides itself on having the UK’s best young Ultimate athletes, alongside exceptional team ethic and character. In the first year, Jen and it’s elite selection of players, will be competing in one UK and one European-based tournament. Initially, you must be prepared to train at least once every two months with a training squad, alongside comprehensive personal physical training. Eventually, Jen aims to compete in a European tour and the US Open. Jen provides a unique and exciting opportunity for Ultimate players of all experience to compete alongside the best young athletes in the game. It provides top-level training and development programmes to those with enormous athletic ability and potential. This team will be unlike any other that the UK has produced and it aims to lift and lead the level of Ultimate in the UK. Jen will be holding an invitational trial on 2nd/3rd November 2013 at a Midlands location (venue to be confirmed). If you are interested in attending, you must fill out the attached application form and return it, along with a head and chest photo of yourself, to [email protected] by September 30th 2013. If invited to a trial, you must be prepared to pay a fee of up to £30 up front to cover the cost of the venue and facilities. To be eligible to attend a trial you must be: - Male - At least 18 years of age and born 1st January 1988 or later This is a genuinely unique opportunity to be part of a boundary-pushing and elite group of athletes.
