I had the opportunity to see THE PETE BEST BAND last night at "The Turning
Point" in Pawling, NY (great 'restaurant style' venue, by the way....love that
place...)
the band includes PETE's brother ROAG on the drums alongside PETE
I think I wrote down every song they played, so here goes:

also caught up with PETE after the show, got some personal momentos
autographed, including a baseball cap from the "MERSEY FERRIES" which I picked
up Liverpool in 2002; GERRY MARSDEN signed one for me last yeat when I was in
DARTFORD outside of LONDON....I cherish this stuff...
PETE is a sweet guy; some of you probably know about and maybe heard the
interview I did with him for my internet radio show, TWANG SHEBANG
(www.myrealtalent.com) -- if you are curious, it's show #28 (show #30 is with
THE SEARCHERS); so we had spoken before but never met. As he was on the phone
for the interview, likewise, in person, he comes off as a very humble, gentle
soul. Lots of people wanted to meet him, and I know he's quite touched by it.
The band (with PETE basing away on a LUDWIG set) put on a high-energy,
fun-loving set....good time rock n roll with an early 1960's British
beat/attitude; I really enjoyed myself, sitting up close as I could get; took
some pictures, and hope to have 'em posted in the not-too-distant future
ROAG told me they are coming back to the US in May, and June (he mentioned
dates at the 'casino' in Connecticut, presumably Mohegan Sun; and one in Times
Square (not BB KIngs) in June)
I also highly recommend people trying to get their hands on PETE's new DVD,
'BEST OF THE BEATLES' - it's a wonderful touching look at the early Beatles
CRY FOR A SHADOW by the way, was a personal highlight for me! killer
rendition! (I got the 45 rpm MGM picture sleeve autographed as well)
PETE GOT THE BEAT, YEAH!
