Launch Radio Networks has issued the following report from Bruce
Simon:

PETE TOWNSHEND might have written most of the material for the new
WHO album called Endless Wire, but he's the first person to admit it
wasn't a one-man project.

Townshend told us that a lot of the credit for how Endless Wire
turned out has to go to ROGER DALTREY, whose vocal performance made
everything better: "What was surprising for me was how Roger fought
really, really hard to sing 'Man In A Purple Dress', to sing 'Two
Thousand Years', and to sing 'Tea & Theatre', 'cause I had those
mixed with my vocals, absolutely convinced that he would
say, 'Listen, you know, the balance is wrong here, Pete -- you're
singing 10 songs, and I'm only singing six.' He went into the
studio, he did vocals on these tracks, and I heard them, and I said
to the producer Billy Nicholls, I just said, 'He's nailing them.'"

It all worked out for the best, as Endless Wire debuted this week on
the Billboard 200 album chart at #7, with more than 81,000 copies
changing hands.

The Who play the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas tonight
(Friday, November 10th).
