Hello Rahul,

Glad to hear about your interest.  The status of that project is  
pretty much unchanged from last year.  It's still a cool (and  
difficult) project that has the potential to greatly improve our ray  
trace performance.  If that's a project that interests you, then it  
would be interesting to hear what exactly you have in mind.

You most definitely should start talking to the mentors early and  
often.  Thanks for taking the initiative.
