Glad to hear it! BRL-CAD is a fantastic project and we're always
open to new contributors.

The best place for a new developer to get started is usually to
either pick a small piece of functionality or to simply fix a bug.
After a couple patches, we can look at having you tackle a project
with a little more substance. Becoming familiar with the code,
tools, command, and source layout is generally an ongoing process for
new contributors.

It's a very large code base so you are encouraged/expected to ask
questions to help you come up to speed. Please do interact with
myself and the other developers and you're welcome to just jump in
somewhere that interests you. There are literally thousands of
potential projects that span just about every skill set. There is an
IRC discussion channel on Freenode as well as a brlcad-devel mailing
list.

You should probably start by a) joining the mailing list or IRC, b)
obtaining the source code from our subversion repository, and c) then
reading our HACKING file. Feel free to introduce yourself (on the
list and/or channel) and your background and interests.

Hope to see you contributing soon!

Cheers!
Sean
