While I undoubtedly may miss one from time to time, I make sure to  
remove them along with any other message content not relevant to a  
reply.  Somewhat bothersome but a mild price to pay for free,  
managed, unrestricted, and integrated mailing list service.

Agree on the later, but there are many issues that would have to be  
taken into consideration beyond just ad annoyance.  Several features  
would be a time-consuming distraction to self-manage or establish  
elsewhere.  It'd have to be a pretty big win, and I'm not aware of a  
better alternative that doesn't require uplifting the entire project  
site.
