I am using an HP Pavilion dv7 laptop (has a AMD Phenom II triple
core processor) running Ubuntu. The BRL-CAD libraries make full use of
the multi-cores, mostly during ray-tracing operations.

Hi
I am planning to build a multi-core computer , either Amd Phenom II
or Intel core i7 based.
Does Brlcad use libraries or Brlcad itself make use of such mult core
chip set based systems?
If so, an additional question,.. does anyone use these processors with
the Linux operating system, and if so which system?
regards
