Hello all, a quick update on my progress so far:
I've got BRLCAD compiling and installing fine after some initial issues. Cliff was able to provide a patch that should increase the robustness of the build for future *nix distros who may choose to forgo 32-bit support. I've been following the Introduction to MGED, as I'll be using it extensively to test to correctness of my work throughout the project, experimenting with creating primitive shapes, using booleans to create more complicated shapes and MGED's analyze command which I'll be adding functionality to later on. As well, i've been reading through the source code found in primitives/* and libmged/*, i was hoping to provide a patch for the bug found here (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3475478&group_id=105292&atid=640802) but I'm not sure where the files for the GUI are found. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Also I'd like to say hello to my mentor Ed. I'm sure I'll find your mathematical knowledge a great resource for my project. As a young math student I'd like to pick you brain on some non-GSoC related subjects, maybe in a less public email. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
