Yay, someone already involved in open source CAD!  That's really great to see.

Sounds good.  Note that if you have geometry experience, we have tons of 
applicable projects that may also be of interest (perhaps a backup proposal 
submission).  See http://brlcad.org/~sean/ideas.html for some of them and the 
TODO file in our source checkout for others.

I'd be interested in hearing your feedback (later) on how you feel BRL-CAD 
compares to LibreCAD.  I know where we stand feature-wise and our usability 
differences, but you bring a potentially fresh perspective.
