PTC just published results from an interesting survey they ran across industry about product data management (PDM) practices. It's an interesting quick read and highly relevant to our Geometry Service project. Most of the "TOP capabilities" desired from their survey respondents are planned capabilities we have been working to encompass with our Geometry Service design (it is our de-facto PDM solution):
