GSoCers!

We're approaching the final evaluation deadline so it's time to start wrapping
things up into a polished state if you've not been "coding complete" like you
were supposed to be doing all along... ;) Make sure your code adheres to style
strictly, is commented adequately, is annotated with any known issues, is
actually tested, is properly hooked in somewhere, etc. I suggest running
Valgrind on a program (any program, even one you write) that exercises your
code to make sure you don't have memory leaks. Also suggest putting FIXME and
TODO comments in your code where you know there are issues or plans to change
something specific. More general plans usually go into the TODO file.

Several of you are on or ahead of schedule. A few of you are a little behind.
There's technically about two weeks remaining, so there's lots of time to bring
it all together into big awesomeness. However, keep in mind to leave yourself
a little time to write up a summary of your work. I'll be calling on each of
you to provide a showcase summary of your work, so keep that in mind and be
prepared to create a best screenshot or two that exemplifies your work.

This of course is not necessarily the end of your coding for BRL-CAD, and
certainly just the beginning of your participation in open source software
development. It's been a pleasure working with everyone this year and I
sincerely hope most of you keep contributing to your projects, making progress,
and doing awesome work that helps us improve. Computer-aided design is one of
the hardest software development domains to approach but you have all made a
fantastic investment. You are making truly meaningful contributions and have
exceptional potential to really make a difference. You've already helped and
your ability to do more only gets better the more you contribute. Thank you
for your efforts.

Cheers!
Sean
