I hope not - what I'm hoping/planning to do is to use your C++ map
based approach to the registry underneath a librt C api. I'm using
your db5_attr_ctype approach to storing the attribute information,
just as a public librt type rather than hiding it internally and using
old school bu_vls to do the tokenizing of the aliases. Basically,
since I know you're not a big fan of C, I'm trying to do the "make it
a C librt API" bits. If I've well and truly departed from where you
wanted to go let me know - I'll try to have all the pieces for what I
was thinking in place by the end of today so you can judge.

Cheers,
CY
