BRL-CAD is large with very many possibilities, so what project you work on will be highly dependent upon your interests and skill level. Ask questions, try to be on IRC as much as possible, try a small (TINY) coding task. Perhaps a GCI task that wasn't completed (also on the google-melange.com website). Cheers!
