Hi Chris, thanks for the reply ! Here is a little introduction about me. I am a second year masters student in Computer Science at University of Waterloo in Canada. I have worked on large projects requiring extensive coding. Before joining University of Waterloo, I worked for Cisco Systems in India for more than two years. I was mainly involved in development work of networking features on Cisco's networking OS called IOS XR. Before Cisco, I did my undergrads from IIT Guwahati in India. I did whole lot of courses in maths and computer science, and gained practical experience with them. During my undergrads, I worked on small projects that involved implementing various mathematical and computing models and algorithms. About my programming skills - I am good at it in general. To tell things concretely, I am currently working improving tolerance against uncorrectable ECC errors in memory in the Linux kernel. This involves reading a lot of code and understanding code flow in the Kernel. Before this, during my masters study, I worked on projects related to NLP, machine learning and OS which involved quite good amount of writing code. At Cisco, I worked on writing modules in C for implementing circuit emulation feature on Cisco IOS XR.
I don't have specific background with geometry, and when I wrote this page, I saw a project related to refactoring in NURBS. Based on your reply I can figure out that I can work on the refactoring and cleanup tasks. I can code in C/C++/Python well. Please tell me how should I get started with the refactoring and cleanup project to demonstrate my ability. Thanks and regards, Sandeep. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Flow-based real-time traffic analytics software. Cisco certified tool.
