Hi Raj,
There is already a Github organisation for BRL-CAD[1]. It currently just
has a mirror of BRL-CAD's website repository and a fork of the online
geometry viewer. I am not sure if it would be okay to fork other
repositories which fall outside the forte of BRL-CAD's development, this is
something the lead developers should have a call on.
Migration from svn to git is a separate issue, but a git mirror for the SVN
repository on Github would helpful though, I know a lot of developers just
search directly for the project on Github, the repository mirror would help
in landing them at the right place.
