I've attempted to reply a number of times but you had already left. Replies may come hours later and if you're not in the channel when it's read, the opportunity to respond is lost. Many of us "live" on IRC 24/7 but obviously don't sit there waiting to answer questions. ;) My recommendation is to stay on IRC if that is your preferred method of communication.
