    Thanks for the pointers I successfully built and install openvrml
after studying the configure options but when I try to run my code I
get some very difficult to debug c++/boost errors so I would resort to
using  FreeWRL at least the code is well documented and organised and
it also has an External Authoring Interface which could easily be used
to insert code and test it. For now I am still studying the code base
and would see how to writing new c code that is compatible with
FreeWRL when I am done.
