I pretty much settled on TCLAP, and did a lot of work on it off line--I did discuss it on the dev list but I wasn't getting much feedback. I believe I had a working model for a binary attr solution and was awaiting review. (Cliff kind of upset my apple cart when he converted all my cool db attr utility C++ code back to C.)
