I pretty much settled on TCLAP, and did a lot of work on it off
line--I did discuss it on the dev list but I wasn't getting much
feedback.  I need to put my work thus far on a branch...

Well, sort of both.  I believe I had a working model for a binary attr
solution and was awaiting review.  (Cliff kind of upset my apple cart
when he converted all my cool db attr utility C++ code back to C.)

I have to get back into the code but I think it's in pretty good shape.

Thanks, I meant it to be a tool for db inspection--needed for dev on
the attr solution.

gdbg, gdb-admin, db-admin, db-tool, dbmaint, ..., ?
