We’re nearly 25% into GCI now, so I did a quick activity check. A word of
caution, these statistics are off the cuff and not academic by any stretch. I
just based them off of my mail queue, which is missing a lot of activity (like
my own), and a few Melange queries. That said, on to some numbers:
Students have completed nearly 150 tasks averaging more than 12 tasks per day,
or about a task every 2 hours. There have been more than 3500 actions on
Melange which averages to about 300 per day. There have been more than 600
task claims/assignments with 200 unclaimed and 60 running out of time
(reopened). Tasks have been marked “ready for review” more than 650 times.
There have been more than 1000 mentor actions.
It’s been busy. ;-)
Below is a pretty Melange activity pie chart showing the relative activity from
y’all. Way to go Andrei! There has also been some wonderful support provided
via IRC by mentors and non-mentors alike and a lot of server administration
efforts (thanks Jacob!). Remember you can use #brlcad-gcimentors if there are
matters you’d like to discuss behind the scenes. Thanks to those that filled
out the calendar with your mentoring schedule. Keep up the fantastic efforts
