Did you read the Reference section? It tells you where you can find an
implementation of plate mode mesh geometry: grep RT_BOT_PLATE
src/librt/primitives/bot/*.c

The critical point that most get wrong is that people aren’t just sitting there
waiting to answer questions. One has to ask and wait for a response (and keep
your IRC client open 24/7 so you can be reached when someone does respond).
Many of us are on there 24/7, so when we read questions, we’ll respond if the
person that asked is still there. The mailing list is good for those that
can’t wait.
