Hi, I am final year undergraduate student at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College. I have been in touch with BRL-CAD from last one year and have also been a mentor in GCI. I am Web Developer so I mostly converse in HTML, Sass and JavaScript. On the backend I have worked in PHP, Ruby, Python and node.js however I have been fascinated by node.js of late. I would like to contribute in Online Geometry Viewer Project as I believe that my skill-set completely overlaps the requirements of the project. I also have decent familiarity with the essentials of BRL-CAD like creating models with scripts, MGED commands etc.
>From the past few days I have been trying to gain knowledge about OGV and have looked into the previous submitted patches too. I have planned to work according to the TODO list. I have read a few mails regarding porting the OGV again back to PHP or Python and alike but so far I recall OGV last year was ported into node.js. So I feel starting again from scratch wouldn't be a wise move and I would definitely love to leverage the existing work done in node.js. Also meteor is a framework to fall for since I am loving its basic tutorials. I read in mailing-list or IRC perhaps that there was a plan to develop mobile app for BRL-CAD but it is not yet implemented, so do we have any such plan this year? -- Cheers!
