Unfortunately for you, that is not how this process works at all. We don't assign work and you are over a month late to have anything be considered with your GSoC application. Really this was a discussion to be had a couple months ago, and required better time management given your overlapping academic responsibilities. You're more than welcome to work on a patch, but you will have to become familiar with BRL- CAD and its needs to understand how and where you could be a productive contributor. This is not something someone else can assign to you.
