Our GSoC 2015 participants were announced earlier today! I’m excited by a
number of projects this year, which I admit is part of the reason we’ve
accepted more than originally planned. The short summary is geometry
converters for OpenSCAD, X3D, and Povray; web infrastructure enhancements to
our documentation and Online Geometry Viewer (OGV); overdue attention towards
polygonal mesh geometries (NMG), OO C++ geometry API, and OpenCL-based
accelerated ray trace rendering. This is in addition to the projects selected
for LibreCAD, OpenSCAD, STEPcode, and LinuxCNC (shared). In all, 12 students.

Please give these participants a warm welcome and help them become better
familiarized with our code. There are several pending patches if anyone has
time to spare for a review or three. ;-)

STUDENTS: in addition to the checklist, please fill out your project details
here: http://brlcad.org/wiki/Google_Summer_of_Code/2015

Cheers!
Sean
