It simply hadn’t been reviewed/updated since you finally affirmed acceptance. That’s why. That said, your Melange abstract still needs work. As the comment says, you say give background information and talk about “why". You do not, however, directly say what you are doing for your project — what your objectives are. If this is unclear, I suggest having someone else near you proof-read your description and have them explain to you what they think you’re doing. For your entry on http://brlcad.org/wiki/Google_Summer_of_Code/2015 your description is grammatically incorrect and awkwardly worded.. you may also want to have someone proof-read that as well.
