This one's a bit tricky!
I tried executing the get_comb command which simply returns the RGB shader
characteristics:
mged get_comb <path of the locally saved *.g file>
in the terminal. It saved a file by the name get_comb in the present
working directory with some info, but the process terminated midway with
the error message as:
invalid command name "<path to *.g file>"
It would be great if you could devote some time in clearing this out on
priority.
same things happen with wmater command while trying on the terminal.
